Rob Cowling and Helmut Scherz of Wild Dogs Productions headed up the mammoth task of managing the 56 GoPro’s on the job. The show was a real technical challenge in the heat and dust of the Tankwa Karoo for all departments. Crew members, contestants and gear were tested to their limits but in the end some great moments captured and memories shared.
The mini cams team comprised of 4 other members namely Erick Banawali, Jaryd Cohen, Matthew Sande and Nic van der Westhuisen who were instrumental in making sure that our many daily deadlines were met. Nic van der Westhuisen’s POV drone footage of the stadiums was snapped up by Sky TV and used extensively in the show.
